What we did

McCann Thailand was asked to create digital videos for the India Market using spokesmodel, Nidhi Sunil. It would be a combination of new and pre-existing footage of Nidhi.

How we did it

Nobody embodies L’Oréal Paris’ mission to empower women more than Nidhi Sunil, with her advocacy for women’s rights coinciding with the core values of the brand.

And it was up to Craft to capture Nidhi on camera celebrating her role as an advocate for women of colour, and, of course, getting the lowdown on her beauty routine.

The biggest challenge was where to shoot. Nidhi was based in the US, the creatives in Thailand and our client in Singapore. Covid 2021 travel restrictions were also still in place.

McCann turned to Craft to find the ideal location. After sharing lots of ideas we came up with a perfect solution – Serbia. This would not only allow travel from the US it was somewhere we could capture everything in keeping with the pre-existing elements.

Next, we used our connections to find a local director and production house and partnered with St. Cloud to do the shoot.

Craft oversaw the shoot from teams’ chat on our separate couches to make sure everything went as planned. After a successful one-day shoot for the main film, we looked to Craft Bangkok for a smaller shoot for packs and effects and stills as well as the main edit, which utilized footage from Thailand, Serbia and pre-existing material.
